Enter the price including tax

The "Include tax in input price" option is probably the most important setting when it comes to tax management in the store. It determines how the product price is entered. There are two options to choose from:

  • Yes, I will enter the price including tax--Enter the price of all products including the store's basic tax rate.
  • No, I'll enter the price without tax.--The price of the product excluding taxes should then be entered.

Based on the calculation of the tax

Use "Calculate the tax according to the setup " to tell WooCommerce which address to use for tax calculation. There are 3 options to choose from:

  • Customer Billing Address
  • Customer shipping address (default)
  • Store Address

Options 1 and 2 require the customer to enter the appropriate address.

If option 3 is selected, the tax is always calculated based on the location of the store, regardless of the customer's address.

Transportation tax classes

  • Calculating transportation tax brackets based on shopping cart merchandise
  • (an official) standard

This setting defaults to the first option, theTransportation Tax Categories Based on Shopping Cart Goods. In this case, the transportation tax is inherited from the tax category assigned to the product being transported.

discard four, but treat five as whole (of decimal points)

Enable "Subtotal rounded taxes " instead of "Rounded tax at each line level " setting to calculate rounding at the subtotal level rather than at each line level.

Sometimes this can result in a slight discrepancy. For specifics, you need to check with your finance or check your tax jurisdiction to confirm if the store needs to be set up this way.

rounding error

This setting does not affect the difference rounding error. If a series of 3 other tax display settings are not all set totax inclusivemaybeexcluding tax, then these errors will result. The series includes

  • Enter the price including tax
  • Displaying prices in the store
  • Show prices in cart and at checkout

When these 3 settings are mixed together, it may cause the decimal precision of the calculated price to exceed the value that the store is allowed to display, causing the price to be rounded off in an unexpected way.
