Cannot access statistics after upgrading Jetpack

I recently upgraded the Jetpack plugin to the latest version and I'm running into two serious problems, so I'm hoping that some of you are in a similar situation or can offer some advice:

No access to website statistics
After the upgrade, when I click Jetpack → Site Statistics in the backend, the page never loads. Sometimes it says "connection broken" or "request failed". I've made sure my WordPress.com account is connected and tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but the problem persists.
Pictures missing from email subscription
Previously, when a newly published article was sent to a subscription email address, the body text would contain either the cover image of the article or an image in the body text. However, after the upgrade, all images have been removed, leaving only plain text content.

  Statistics can not be loaded: background click on the statistics page has been loading content, prompting "connection interrupted" or "request failed", may be the plug-in and the server communication blocked or version incompatible, we recommend checking the firewall, reconnecting the account, to confirm that the plug-in and the WordPress version is up to date. Loss of images in subscription emails: the images in the email body are not displayed, only the text is left, it may be a problem with the email template or image permissions, it is recommended to check the subscription settings, image access permissions, or contact the official support.
