Don't panic—it's common for rankings and traffic to drop after changing domains. Most cases aren't penalties but rather incomplete migrations. Focus on checking these three points: 1) Did you implement 1:1 301 redirects from the old domain to the new one? (Avoid redirecting everything to the homepage, and never use 302 redirects.) 2) Did you complete an "Address Change" in Google Search Console and submit the new domain's sitemap?
3) Ensure the new site isn't mistakenly blocked by noindex directives or robots.txt. Typical recovery takes 2–8 weeks. If rankings haven't improved after 4 weeks, issues with 301 redirects or canonical tags are usually the cause.
