How does Beaver Builder work?

I'm working on a WordPress site and was considering Elementor, but then I heard that Beaver Builder is a bit lighter and thought I'd give it a try.

But I used to use Elementor a lot, and I'm not particularly familiar with Beaver. There's not much else that's different between the two, is there?
