How to Insert or Edit Links in WordPress Content Editor

Adding links to articles, pages and widgets

There are several ways to add links to posts, pages, widgets and other locations where text is normally edited.

Method 1: Link button

1. Copy the URL you want to use to your computer's clipboard.

2. Highlight the text to be linked on a page or post.
3. Click the link icon displayed in the block toolbar.

It is also possible to search for articles or pages on your site in the Link Search field by first entering the title of the page or article and then clicking on the page or article to insert the link:

Method 2: Copy and Paste

1. Copy the URL to be linked to the clipboard of your computer.

2. Highlight the text to be linked on a page or post.

WordPress.com will automatically create the link. Highlighted text will now be underlined and displayed in blue.

If you want someone to click on an image and go to another page, perform the following steps:
