If there is data stored elsewhere, it is easy to point the block to that new source with just a few lines of code.

Add Appearance Tools to Classic Theme

Give designers and creators using classic themes an upgraded design experience. Choose to support spacing, border, layout, and color options even if you don't use theme.json. When support is enabled, more tools will be added automatically as they become available.
