Gutenberg 19.0 has been released, let's see what's new in Gutenberg 19.0?

In Gutenberg version 19.0 (Gutenberg), two important features have been added under the Experimental tag that will allow people to opt-in to tests and provide feedback. These features can be enabled by going to Gutenberg > Experimental. The first feature allows for connecting blocks to custom fields, which is something many people are eager to see. The second feature allows for quick editing in the new Site Editor > Pages interface built using the Data View. Feedback on both features is welcome and needed.

In addition to these experimental features, this release includes several notable enhancements, including a more intuitive user interface to configure views (pages, templates, modes, etc.) and the option to choose whether or not to show or hide filters within them. Finally, in addition to the device preview option, the option to manually enter a reduced view has been added and several writing process enhancements have been completed.

UI for connection blocks and custom fields

Gutenberg 19.0 comes with the first UI prototype for connecting blocks and custom fields. It has been merged in the Gutenberg plugin with the experimental logo.

To check it, enable the "Create block-bound UI" experiment under "Gutenberg -> Experiments".

New page listings now offer quick editing features

Data View Quick EditThe first version of Gutenberg has been released as an experiment in Gutenberg 19.0. It allows users to edit certain fields without leaving the entire Pages interface, and it supports batch editing.

Showing or hiding filters in the data view

Gutenberg 19.0 contains Hide/show filters in the user interface of thefunction. This simplifies the data view UI as complex filters, including the default filters for some views, will no longer take up UI space. At the same time, feature parity and ease of use is maintained, as filters can still be added when needed by clicking the Filter button.
