Setting up Blog / Archive pages with Astra Pro

Astra Pro The Blog Pro module in the plugin provides a wealth of style control options to create a more hierarchical and visually expressive layout for blog archive pages (Blog / Archive). All settings can be done in the theme customization panel, without having to install additional plugins or write code.

pre-conditions

The Astra theme needs to be installed and activated with Astra Pro plugin and enable the Blog Pro module in the backend. The relevant settings are located at:Appearance > Customize > Blog > Blog / Archive.

Basic setup options

Reveal Effect
A gradient effect appears when the article loads, making the transition to the page content softer.

Layout Selection (Blog Layout)
Offers three mainopening (chess jargon)option, when selected the appropriate setting item will appear.

• Grid layout: up to four columns can be set, suitable for graphic portfolio display
• Waterfall layout (Masonry): automatically enabled when using multiple columns, suitable for content with inconsistent image sizes
• Highlight first post: highlights the first post in the archive page
• Remove featured image inner margins: bring images closer to the border for a compact typographic style

Tip: The grid layout is only available when the standard layout is selected and is not supported in the left or right side of the picture layout.

Content Width
Choose from a default width, inherit a global setting, or customize a specific width value.

Article Content Display (Blog Post Content)
Supports full display of article content, or can be set to display only the summary. In summary mode, the "Excerpt Count"Adjusting word length.

Post Pagination
Two types of paging are provided:

• Digital paging: show page numbers at the bottom, click to turn pages

• Infinite loading: automatically loads the next batch of article content when scrolling the page

Article Structure Showcase (Post Structure)
You can individually control whether or not to display the following:

• caption
• Featured Image
• Author, category, number of comments, post date, read time, etc.

The display status of each item can be quickly switched on and off by clicking on the "eye" icon.

Featured Image settings (Featured Image)
You can set the size and appearance parameters of the featured image, such as aspect ratio, rounded corners, etc.

Spacing control (Spacing)
Supports customization of outer and inner margins between posts for easy adjustmentweb pageLayers.

Typographic settings (Typography)
You can set the font, font size, thickness, line spacing, etc. of blog title, post title, meta information and pagination buttons.typographicalstyles, adapting to the needs of different styles.
