E-commerce websites load slowly, visitors can't afford to wait, and conversions go way down. Even if you use a powerful WoodMart Themes, if you have a lot of default scripts turned on, it can also slow down and affect performance. The good news is that WoodMart itself already has script management features ready for you, no need to write code or install additional plugins.

In this article, we'll explain how to turn off unused scripts in WoodMart to make the page clean, fast and sharp.

1. Enter the Theme Performance Settings screen

Here you will see multiple options for features that can be turned off, such as:

AJAX Search Function
Product Quick View
Product Comparison Features
Slide Thumbnail
Sticky Header
Instagram Feed
Customized Font Loader
Built-in Google Fonts

If you don't use these features, it's recommended to just turn them off.

2. Close product-related scripts

If your site doesn't offer "Quick Look"Compare", "Wish List", etc., and switch the corresponding option to "OFF" directly.

This step removes the corresponding JS and CSS files, reducing the burden on the front-end.

3. Disable Google Fonts loading

Many times WoodMart loads fonts from Google Fonts by default, but if you've uploaded theCustom FontsOr to consider domestic loading issues, you can turn off Google Fonts.

Simply find the relevant option in the Performance settings and select "Do not load Google Fonts".

This reduces external requests and speeds up the rendering of the first screen.

4. Disable AJAX searching (optional)

AJAX search is cool but loads extra scripts. If you don't have many products, it's perfectly fine to turn it off and use the standard search which is perfectly adequate.

Turning off AJAX search on the Performance page will not load the live search script.
